Marcia Cross On TV Guide Cover And Interview Exclusive!

Marcia Cross Exclusive! TV Guide magazine sat down with Marcia to discuss about her 'Desperate Housewives' character and being a 44 years old first-time mom.  Here's what Marcia say:

About her being pregnant:  "Yep, well, here I am," Cross says, proudly patting a just-noticeable bump in her midsection at the same Brentwood café. "Half a year later and I'm married and knocked up! It's sort of a miracle to me. I was the one who was going to be the godmother or the aunt. I think everybody'd given up on me. And now this!"

In talking about being a 'old' mom: Cross, 44, wed stockbroker Tom Mahoney, 48, in late June after a 10-month engagement. Three days later, the couple were reportedly spotted leaving a fertility clinic, and last month, they announced she was expecting. (Despite widespread reports that Cross is pregnant with twins, her publicist, Heidi Slan, insists that the reports are false.) "Usually, it's get married, have a honeymoon, get your pictures back, take a breath," Cross says, laughing. "But we're old. For us it was, get married. Whoa! Prrrregnant!"

What she has to say about her 'Desperate Housewives' character: "Orson has a secret, but I'm just praying for Bree that he's not really an evil man," Cross says, insisting she doesn't know how the plot will unfold. "He's a dream man for her. And I want her to experience a rebirth of her femininity and youth. But right now, she's being pushed to ask questions about whether she can trust him."
