Check out the TV Guide magazine (the one with Marcia Cross on the cover - see my previous post), Brooke Shields talks about her daughters and her mother:
As a child, you famously hung out at Studio 54. Can you imagine your daughters Rowan, 3, and baby Grier, as pint-sized nightclubbers? My mom and I lived a completely bohemian lifestyle. It was just the two of us, and it was great. But I find myself doing things differently than my mother did. My kids are in bed by eight o'clock. It's a routine of bath, dinner, story time, bedtime. When you become a parent, you get to pull the best from what you think your parents did and you get to leave the rest behind."
